The Trading Cards - Real American Heroes Collectible Set

The Real American Heroes trading cards present one hero and one virtue per card. There are 25 cards in the set. The cards may be used by teachers as recognition for work done in history, social studies, or character education classes. Students and kids (of all ages) can collect the cards as prizes and reminders for the work they've done. With such a simple yet powerful reminder, they will have the opportunities to act as and to become heroes themselves.

New Backs

In 2011, the second edition "back of the cards" design became available. The new design incorporates an eagle, American flag, and red, white, and blue lettering to bring a more patriotic spirit to the trading card set. Plus, the backs are common on all cards so they can be used more easily in group activities and games (the back doesn't give away which card it is). The first edition, sometimes called the "stained glass" back, displays an image of each hero on his / her card. The first edition will remain available but in limited quantities.

Design

The trading cards are designed with special marking that make each card unique and identify how they are a part of a collection. Look closely at your cards and you can see just what we mean.
Edition: the style and look of the cards are all the same and they are released at the same time.
Rarity marks: a jewel image is printed in the lower right corner of the card. If you investigate closely, you can find that some jewels are more common than others and some are more rare than others.
Serial number: each card gets a unique number printed on the bottom.
Production number: when the cards are printed, they get a new production number.
Card # of 25: this marks which card this is in the set, ordered by year of birth (of the primary hero).
Web address: the URL of this website - for additional information about your card, the heroes, and more.

Collections

We have initially released the Real American Heroes Trading Card Set. It contains 25 cards (+ 2 extra). When you have all 25 your collection is complete. You may prefer to have cards with specific marks and jewels, but it doesn't matter which you have - as long as you have one of each of the 25 cards (Cards 1 to 25 of 25).

Extra Cards

There are two extra cards in the Real American Heroes card set. First is a card which lists all 25 of the heroes and the virtues they represent. Second is a "blank" hero card which you can use to write in your own name, story, and virtue you used or which you can fill out in honor of someone you know - for something they did and for what that meant to you.
